Description
A Limited Edition Artwork, Made to Be Worn
This shoe features original, hand-drawn artwork created exclusively for this release. The design will never be reproduced, reissued or used on another edition.
Only 100 pairs will ever be made. Each pair is individually numbered, making every shoe part of a finite collection that will never be produced again.
The artwork is rooted in Pacific culture, extending from the Fiji Islands to the California coast. Drawing on his connection to these places, artist Jack Eastgate explores evolving cultures and the continuing impacts of colonisation, climate change and migration, alongside the ways awareness of and connection to nature can offer remedy and healing.
Jack’s work often places vibrant jungle and forest imagery onto manmade structures, bringing nature into spaces shaped by development, industry and everyday life.
Transferring this artwork onto a shoe extends that idea. The shoe becomes another human-made surface, but one that moves through streets, workplaces and public spaces. Rather than remaining fixed on a wall, the artwork travels with the person wearing it.
Plants, pathways and built environments meet in a single object, reflecting the way nature and progress are constantly intertwined. Each step carries the artwork into a new setting and invites us to consider how our movement, consumption and daily choices connect us to the wider natural world.
Original artwork. One edition of 100. Never reproduced.
